Judoka Robert Florentino of Dominican Republic claimed a silver medal at the World Junior Championships in Zagreb in 2017. He seized gold at the 2024 Pan Am Oceania Championships in Rio. He was number 1 of the IJF Junior WRL U90kg from 2014-2017. He clinched bronze at the Grand Prix in Marrakech in 2019. He took gold at the Pan American Championships in Guadalajara in 2021 and bronze in 2022. He claimed the victory at the Pan American Open in Santo Domingo in 2019 and 2022 and in Guayaquil in July 2023. He captured the gold medal at the World Military Championships in Santo Domingo in 2023.
