Italian judoka Asya Tavano seized the gold at Grand Slam Dushanbe in 2024. She earned a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Tbilisi in 2024. Took a fifth place at the 2024 World Championships in Abu Dhabi and seventh in 2023 in Doha. She also secured a bronze at the Cadet European Championships in Warsaw. Notably, She claimed gold at the Junior European Cup in Lignano (2022). Tavano's recent successes include silver at the Grand Prix in Linz (2023), European bronze in Montpellier (2023), and a silver medal at the prestigious Grand Slam in Baku (2024).
