Maxim Rakov of Kazakhstan became World Champion in 2009 in Rotterdam and he seized silver at the 2011 World Championships in Paris. He captured World Tour victories 2008-2014 in Rotterdam, Almaty, Dusseldorf (2011-2012), Masters Almaty, Grand Prixs of Almaty, Baku and Astana. Rakov finished second at the European Open in Katowice in 2017.
